I love how the Hudson Valley Seed Library incorporates art into their heirloom seed packets. They describe the connection beautifully in their recent article about the upcoming Art of the Heirloom exhibit – “Artists tell compelling stories by creatively envisioning the lives of flowers and vegetables, farms and gardens. Art inspires agriculture.”
One of my gardening goals this year is to support local gardening businesses, such as the Hudson Valley Seed Library, and document the planning and growth process. They focus on heirloom seeds specific to the northeast region and I’m really curious to see the difference in care and quality compared to some of the plants/seeds I used last year.
